Fly Casting Lessons

Learn the art of fly casting in a hands on setting. You'll understand how the cast works which will help you perfect your own casting stroke. Learning to cast a fly rod isn't difficult. Once you understand the principles you'll be able to correct yourself as you grow as a caster. You'll learn different casts and recognize when are the best times to use them. Before long your fly rod will seem like its another finger reaching out and touching those pockets of water and rising fish.

We offer one day classes (4-6 hours) and a 2 week class (2 hour class each week).

   •1 day class (4 hours) are $45 per student and will cover everything from the mechanics of a good cast to time spent on the water applying those casts in different situations.

   • One Day group rate (3-4 students) is $125 per group. You will learn line mending, loop control and hooking up all of which are critical in becoming a successful fisherman. You'll also learn the components of the fly rod, reel and line to better understand how they work together.

   • 2 week classes (2-3 hour class per week) are $45 per student. We cover everything we do in the one day classes. This program is for the weekday / after hours crowd who are spending their days working or vacationing in the area. The second week is spent on the water applying our casts and fishing. All equipment is provided unless you want to bring your own. Limit is 6 people per class.

We also offer the crash course. A 1-2 hour casting clinic for that person or group down here in the Branson area on vacation wanting to learn how to cast so they can spend a few days on the water knowing what they're doing. The crash course will cut to the chase giving you the basic tools you need to know to throw a good loop and have the ability to cast your fly rod solidly.

$20 for a 1 hour session per person.

$35 for a 2 hour session per person

$45 for a 1 hour session for a group of 3 to 7.

$65 for a 2 hour session for a group of 3 to 7.

On our guided trips we go over the same thing before hitting the water. For anyone with no fly fishing experience but wanting to not only learn, but to go fishing with a guarantee to catch fish I recommend our one day fly fishing classes.
