Fly
Fishing classes are the one stop way to have a complete education on fly
fishing for trout. From learning the equipment to casting, hooking, battling,
landing then releasing your catch. We cover everything you need to successfully
know how to start down the wonderful world of fly fishing. We offer a
4 week course (2 hour classes per week) and a one day course (6-8 hours).
Both classes end with a graduation on the water catching fish while applying
your new found skills. We'll start by learning about the components of
your fly fishing equipment and understanding how and why they work. We'll
learn how to get setup and ready to take your first cast including knot
tying, equipment and fly selection. We'll go over several basic casts
understanding their principles and applications. We'll cover line mending,
hooking, battling and landing fish. We'll finish the day catching trout
and learning to read the water so you can make the right decisions while
you're on the water by yourself or with your friends.Cost is $95 per student.
Group rate: $250 for 3 or 4 students.
All equipment is provided or you can bring your own.
Sandwiches and drinks will be available or bring your own.
